lower windshield trim 700 1988

Just bought this 1988 740 which needed a new windshield, so I had one installed. But they claimed the last guy to install had glued bottom strip on. I'm left with a trim strip with the black plastic broken away from the guy pryin it loose, and a trim strip that flaps in the wind on the driver's side.
How many clips belong along the bottom? I see where to get them, but where do I get the whole piece of trim?
Do you think the Auto glass place I hired to do the job should pay for the parts? Should I make them come and fix it? What really is disturbing is that they would walk away from the job with it in such a lousy state of repair.
