940 Turbo motor stalling

I have a 1994 940 turbo that has an intermittent stalling problem. Just before it stalls, all the idiot lights flash momentarilly. I have to put car in neutral or park and then it starts right back up as if nothing has happened. The car currently has 155,000 miles and has had all routine maintenace performed timely including timing chain replacement. About 8,000 miles ago it would stall while making a slow left hand turn and was resolved by replacing all associated turbo and intercooler hoses. Now it will stall while going straight at low speed, i.e. less than 25 miles an hour no matter what level of fuel is in the tank. Battery and alternator has checked out fine. My volvo certified mechanic can't seem to find problem because it's so intermittent. It can go several days between stallings and no trouble codes are showing up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this has become quite a safety hazard in Atlanta traffic.
