Loose Auto Shift Lever on 940 Turbo 900 1992

The automatic shift lever on my 1992 940 Turbo sedan is very loose when it is in "D" drive. It moves forward and back way too much. So loose that it looks like it moves all the way into "N" and all the way back to "2". It is nice and tight when in "P" Park though. I've pulled the lower-center console piece off to look for a screw or bolt to tighten up, but found nothing. Is there an adjustment I can make somewhere to tighten up the shift lever?

The car shifts nice and smooth and acts very healthy.

Thanks in advance for any advice and experience passed along!
