Help!!! Ignoramous needs some info!!!!! 700 1988

Now you're an informed ignoramous! ;^)

FYI, IPD sells a thin 1" wrench specifically made for OD solenoid removal. Good information in all the posts but missing is the 4th gear position switch. Won't OD disengage when the trans is shifted back out of fourth? If this switch is faulty or connections intermittent, wouldn't the results be the same?

Picking up my 88 745t w/ M46 this weekend. Two day drive to get it back home. Hoping for the best.
