Alternator purchase and spark plug gap question 140-160

Hello,
It is time for a new alternator and I would like an internal regulator. Does anyone have a source for this style alternator. I am also installing a crane 700 ignition and was wondering about increasing the gap on the spark plugs to .40? This was after I read a post awhile ago about increasing gap to eliminate a manual choke. Mine is a 71 164, 4 speed+OD with a 75 B30f with SU-HS6's.
