76 262 Power Window Stuck Closed (up position)

Hey,

I have power to the window becasue I can hear a tiny little click from the motor every time I hit the switch.

The gear mechanism is frozen solid so I sprayed some Cyclo Rust Eater on all the moving mechanisms that I could reach/see. Then I loosened every mounting bolt I could to see if that would free up anything. Nothing moved.

I then took every nut and bolt off and in doing so, almost lost my finger when then glass fell down. Oops. Live and learn. Still, nothing moved.

Is there a way to disconnect the window from the regulator while its in the "up" position? I checked the archives and it seems nobody has had this problem.

Any advice would be great.
Thanks in advance,

Adrian

P.S. I don't think the power windows have worked in about 6 years or more. Could it be rust jammed in everywhere?
