I have actually heard of the computers on volvos going nuts after a dead battery, this is a fact too since it happend to me in my old 86 i let the battery die and went to drive it and holy crap id hit the brake and the car would accl and so on everything was off, freaked out of course i called the local mechanic and said my cars possed as i have never ever exp anything like that in my life and he said to drive it around for 10 min and then let him know if it kept up after that and sure enough after 10 min all was back to normall.
