Brakes 'n stuff 120-130

I have to admit that I'm tempted - there's a pressure reduction valve (I think that's what it is) located in front of the rear axle. Haynes doesn't mention it so its unknown territory in terms of overhaul and its yet another item to dismantle for seal replacement. The advantage of 5.1 would be that I could do this over a period of time instead of doing everything in one go. I seem to remember reading that 5.1 was developed for ABS systems and that its lighter than DOT 3 & 4. Would this have implications for brake systems of an older design?

Have you converted to 5.1 and if so how did it go? Presume its also suitable for clutch hydraulics? Do you have any links for articles comparing it to DOT 4 and 5?

Thanks for the info,

Aidan
