Driveshaft noise/vibration 900 1995

I've got another problem with my 960. I fixed the first problem (fuel rail leak) with your help, so here's the current situation -- I have a "shudder" in the back end upon takeoff, and also vibration that comes and goes, in all speed ranges. Further, I have a clunking sound that I hear whenever I accelerate. No sound in park or coasting. The sound is coming from the rear of the driveshaft; from a piece that apparently has several names: flex disk, flex plate, cv joint, viscous coupler.
What would you call this piece? Should I replace it, or clean it up and re-use it? (someone said I could) The dealer wants $313 (US dollars, and sells it as a kit. I can get a used one for $75, with a 6-month, unlimited mile warranty. Which should I go for? Also, if you know of anyone who carries this part/kit for less, please let me know
While the shaft is off, should I replace the u-joints, center support and support bearing as preventative maintenance? I've looked at the FAQ section already, and it has been helpful, but I value your opinions and seek your input/additions. Thanks.
