Inner and outer tie rod replacement question 200 1981

1981 with Cam Gear steering rack: I'm going to replace the right tie rod, inner and outer. Does anyone have any advice that might make the job smoother? I'm especially wondering about disconnecting the inner tie rod from the shaft that goes through the steering box. How much torque can this shaft take as I loosen the old inner tie rod end, and tighten the new one? Does it go on really tight? Also, I haven't done any outer tie rods yet either. This is a first for me. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
