Another stupid ?? 200 1989

OK, I know I should know better, but exactly where is the fuel filter? My '89 DL started to blubber a bit on the way home.I thought I was running out of gas(gauge doesn't work-but odometer does!),so filled up. Ran OK for another 10 miles then ran crummy again after stopping @stop sign. Limped for a mile then cleared out and seemed fine after that. Got home, but it would not accelerate at full throttle, only partial. I also plan on trying to clean the injectors today, but I need to do the filter. Not a good past week for this brickster,as Mon-Thur I was on my back in the snow, drilling and tapping calipers while replacing pads, but that's another long story.
