ATF Brands?

Last time I did a dino flush, I used Shell or Shellzone (whatever it was called). It appears as if some of the dino oils are manufactured by the same refineries but they are split up in the supply chain to different brands.

I use Mobil 1, but I keep using Shell in the rest of the family's cars and it really doesn't seem to adversely affect them. I will use QS (from Wal Mart) as well.

The bottom line is that it would be better to flush it with NEW trans fluid at a limited service interval between flushes. That's the biggest concern. Secondary would be what BRAND you flush it with. I think that any way you cut it, the most important thing is THAT you flush it, not so much WHAT you flush it with.

PS, I use Super TecH (Wal Mart's house brand) or other house brands for my sister's 740, since I usually pay for the product and I'm not getting anything out of it in return. She seems happy, and so does the transmission.
