Radio Went Dark 700

I have an '88 740 Turbo Wagon that has 322K on it, and runs fine. (However, I cheated and it got a new engine at 250K).

The radio works fine but lost the display. I have no idea how to get it out of there, so if anybody has some advice as to what might be done, I also need a clue as to how to remove the thing.

Also... while I am at it... I found a really clean V75 T5 and am considering it. Looks like the AC won't kick in on it. Compressor she's a no spin. It's a blue-green 98 with 54,000 miles on it. Needs tires and rotors, too. I am seeking input from you all as to it's value and relative reliability. I live in New Haven, CT, if that affects value.

Thanks in advance, everyone...
