weirdest thing happened tonight... 700

hey everyone, the weirdest thing happened to me tonight with my 740 gle 86.Before telling my story id like to say how i got this car.Bought it from an old man in august as a winter car,it was parked in his driveway and i think it hadnt moved in a couple of years.one day i decided to go see him and offer to do him a favor by getting off his driveway, car looked ok had abit of rust but seemed in good shape,he said for 300 cdn its yours,so i asked what was wrong with it,he said that it kept stalling at lights and stop signs(just ended up beeing a bad fpr cost me 60 bucks)and that the car would misfire. So after i resolved the frp problem i never bothered to fix the timing cuz i wasnt geared up for the job and thought id wait till summer, but tonight i was driving on the metropolitain and i decided to push the car alittle,so i drove at 170 km/h for about a good 15 minutes and when i got home i got out of the car while it was still running and guess what...no more misfire at all.I dont see how this happened but it did,it used to misfire only on park and now nomore.Anyone see the connection or probabilities?

Picture is of my 760 gle 88',thats my pride and joy!!
