Weird starting problem this morning... 700 1987

When I got up this morning to warm up the car before leaving for work something weird happened. I turned the key and all I got was an audible clicking from the engine compartment. It was sort of like what you hear when the battery is too drained to actually move the starter motor, but it has a little juice left. Anyway, I resigned to the fact that the Volvo wasn't starting and proceded to warm up my mom's Blazer since I was running late. I decided to try the Volvo one last time before I left and lo and behold it cranked right up on the first try. The car is an '87 740 GLE, B230F/M46 with 200K. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and have been working out small kinks (Bad oil pressure sensor wire, clutch/e-brake adjustments), but the car has been for the most part VERY well cared for. Anyway, the battery is a brand new Interstate, and the terminals are nice and tight and corrosion free. Could it be that I have some bad connections at the starter motor?
