Can The 700/900 Brake Reservoir Float Sensor Be Removed/ Reinstalled ?

At the top of the ATE brake fluid reservoir is an electrical connection for the float sensor. It is mounted in a raised rectangular moulding that looks like it can be prised off.

Has anyone done this?

When we do brake flushing we remove the reservoir and clean. Those with the valves containing steel springs, as are found on the 900 series, get a strong detergent wash and others without the springs get hydrochloric acid.

If the float sensor can be removed it will assist washing and drying.

Thanks in advance.
