Source for higher amp alternators? 200 1985

I might be looking into one of those voltage regulator kits- for all I know that could be the problem with my car too, not sure yet. I'm yet to check out the local PnP, and it's only like a 30min from my house (that's close ;) and I hear they have to 2002's; BMW that is). I'm not sure if anything bigger will fit in the stock location- it's pretty damn tight in there, as I'm sure you've noticed. I'll figure something out depending on my problem and what the options come from whatever it is.
Thanks
