hi steve thanks for the advice, I got a really good quote from an auto glass company, when they asked if it was an insurance job or cash direct from me. I told them I was not insured for glass replacement and the quote was £80 (sterling) suplied fitted and including vat, I was well impressed.
the norm in the UK is to pay a fully comprehensive insurance premium and then still end up with an excess of £50 to pay. just thought you may be able to make use of this info. thanks again for the advice.
