How does this forum work?

When you post a message:

1] How long do you have 'EDIT' it?

2] When going through old post and you make a reply, will it come up as current or do you have to hope and pray that someone looks back at the old message. ie. If someone has a posting about fiberglass panels in mid December and I was to post a response, would the new post become part of a NEW post or does it fall under the old post and shortly disapear? I mean should I 'make a new message' or just reply to the old one?

3] How long are messages left on the board?

4] Are irreverent messages deleated and only the 'good ones' left/kept?
