New battery for 240 - specs? 200 1983

Howdy. Time for a new battery for my '83 240 since it's cold out and it cranks too slowly to start. So when I go to WalMart, their books don't list a battery type for me. So I was wondering, what are the specs for the battery? With 5000 batteries on the shelf, what's the difference between them? Is it just size, so that it fits in the compartment? Which one is for me? Is there a minimum cranking-amps spec that is different for all the different types of cars out there?
