how to soder fuel injector grounds 200 1990

before i replace the ECU, i was wondering about sodering the fuel injector grounds to the lug. i have read a post in the archives that say the crimp that the grounds have are not good enough and need to be sodered. my question is why would the crimp work fine for years and all the sudden lose performance. i have changed everything else in the car, except for trying to soder the injector grounds, if anyone has any expireince, or knows how to soder a ground to the lug, the advise will be much appreciated, my ecu is 0 280 000 933 is this a good ecu or prone to failure,
with regards nick
