Reverse Slipping? 200 1986

I am sure that you have checked the fluid level and that it is OK. There are no bands in the AW70 trans, and no external adjustments. As the previous poster said, hard and aged seals bypass the fluid for a moment until they conform to the bores and take the pressure. Colder weather makes it worse. A rebuild is the best way to fix it, but the transmission seal conditioners can fix it for while in some cases. But that is like giving nitro to a heart patient - sooner or later it gives up.
