Disconnected WG rod... Epilogue 700 1988

I'd posted last week about discovering my WG actuator rod not being connected and appreciate all the replys. I was just under the car for the first lookaround and oil change when I found this and slipped it back on but didn't secure it.

Of course it fell off again during the week. Very slow car with the WG flapping open. I secured it yesterday with a washer and cotter pin and did indeed see this time the locknut and threaded adjuster. So now the car is great fun to drive and while I haven't put a pressure guage on it to see where things are set, accellerating at 3,500 rpm in second, 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, the dash gauge is running about 1:00 o'clock to 1:30. First gear sure is short.

Thanks for the help.
