oxygen sensor question 700

Have a new OEM sensor on hand (forget universal) just in case, but perhaps you will not need it. Take the old sensor from the car, but in on your work bench or hold it with a vise grip. Clean the sensor end with a wire brush. Put a propane blow torch flame right against each of the (three) slits on the sensor end and let the flame come out the other slits for a couple of minutes. Let the sensor cool and put it back in the car with some anti-seize on the threads. Check sensor operation with a multimeter. Sensor should work as well as new, at least mine does and it is the original one on an '86 760T.
