COLD START PROBLEMS!! 700

I have been having similar problems with my 740 GLE (1985 308806kms). Only that if I don't plug it in below -15C it won't start. I replaced the battery with a more powerful one (870 ccc) and this helped, however like I said if it is in the very cold for long without being plugged in it won't start. As well I have expirienced the shaking blub-blub stuff too, when this happens I shut it off and re-start and everything is fine. I cleaned my IAC but to no avail. I have to wait until it is warm out (no garage) before I can check the ECT. Does yours start w/o plug-in below -20C?
