License Plate Light Bulb Replacement 200 1989

Both of my bulbs finally decided to bite the bullet and burn out. Both houses have a few broken tabs and each are currently being held up by some black electrical tape.

What's the easiest way to replace the bulbs? I tried to (somewhat gently) pull down on one of the housings to get to the bulb, although it didn't budge, I didnt't want to completely break the housing off. Bentley says that you have to carefully remove the lens by prying into a notch. I didn't see one. Does anyone have any pointers they'd like to share? If there is a notch, what location would it be in? Thanks.
