Hard Brake Pedal In Cold Weather Until Warmed Up!?! 700 1985

Its been cold here in the Northeast USA lately and I am experiencing a Hard Brake Pedal condition (like having no power brakes) when my 1985 740 GLE is DEAD COLD (sits overnite) and the outside tempature is around 10-15 degrees F (or lower). The engine also turns over more than usual before starting. The Brake Pedal stays hard until I drive around abit (carefully!) and the car warms up to operating tempature then all of a sudden the pedal is fine. It stays working fine all day unless the car gets DEAD COLD again after sitting for MANY hours and the outside temp is still around 10-15 degrees F (or lower). If in the morning I go out to start the car the outside temp is above say 20-25 degree F, I have NO Hard Pedal condition and it starts just fine. I am guessing that It's a vaccume problem/leak somewhere but was wondering if anyone has any helpful advice or has experienced similar problems and could point me in the right direction. Its COLD out there!!! Thanks!!.....MANIC MECHANIC
