Turbo Engine Mounts 700 1989

I just changed them on my 1985 Turbo 740. I am a novice so this is how it went for a first timer. Read the FAQ's and posts about them very carefully. I forgot to disconnect the fan shroud and I think it caused me some trouble now that I think about it. Anyhow, I found the transmission mount to be quite easy to change (maybe 20 min). The engine mounts - I wrestled with quite a long time but got them done. It is definately easier if you have a nice assortment of sockets and extentions,u-joints for your wrench on this job. I just built a wooden frame to lift the engine, but the FAQ has a pretty good looking setup you can build too if you don't have a hoist. For most the job is probably easy, I am just not that good at the heavy stuff. If I can do it you can too, just expect the engine mounts to take longer than the tran mount. Removing some of the easy to remove hoses, etc gives you more room to work.
