Blower motor stops when car accelerating 900 1991

I couldn't locate the solution to this problem in the FAQ's so, if anyone can help, I'd really apprecicate it!

It's summer downunder and the blower motor on my '91 turbo 940 has started to stop functioning when I'm accelerating even just medium, let alone hard. A second or so after i ease off the throttle, the blower motor starts up again, the cool air starts flowing, and we start living again

Please tell there is a simple (economical!) solution

Thanks!
