The reason why I posted the previous message about "is there a light at the end of the tunnel and I feel like i'm going bankrupt" is because after replacing almost everything in the car I read about steering rack problems that potentially go bad on high mileage cars. I'm thinking, "for crying out loud", what next! And although I don't do my own work, I have not spent a lot on labor. My brand new wiring harness from the dealer cost me 330.00 and my mechanic charged me 130.00 to install. That was a great price... Also the Nissen radiator was costly, but the labor cheap....All the other stuff is always less than 100.00. Maybe I don't work on cars, but I am intelligent enough to shop around. Most of you who are always screaming "do your own work" are predominately guys so you have an edge on me. And for the person who said that they are tired of hearing me complain, then pick and choose which messages you read. For everyone else, thank you very very much for your wonderful messages. I have learned a lot from you and your messages have been encouraging. I love my brick a lot, but my commute is 50 miles round trip and I fear being stuck at night on the freeway. There are a lot of crazies in this world. I guess I'm paranoid. When I bought my brick, it had been abused. The person bought a Land Rover and neglected my poor brick. Well at least I was able to pass the smog with flying colors. My car has great potential, but all of these repairs are hitting me all at once and next week this will be my ONLY car unless I go out and buy a Mini Cooper (smile). God Bless!
