I don't know about the 556, I've only personally looked into the chips for the 561 and the 951 but I'll bet they have one Try Borton Volvo and see if they have a listing for the part( make sure to request replacement eprom chips by the ecu number and not the model/year)

That main chip is all that gets replaced when they rebuild the things(for $700) if the board has any burned componants it is considered a non rebuildable core.
