ES PROBLEMS 1800

I check the ohms on the manifold pressure sensor, it was very near to exact so I believe that part to be working. Then I checked the coolant temperature sensor, it was around 1400 cold and 200 hot. This doesn’t seem right. What should I do? Replace the coolant temp sensor? Would those reported readings lead to the problems I have? Bad fuel economy and a ruff, jerking engine while cold? Thanx again.
