Temp sensor position on a B230ET? 700 1985

I found it, but it's actualy in the second position you mentioned, I don't know why, it just is and it sure was a pain to get to.

I managed to test my temp gauge, it looks to be ok, so I've either got a sensor problem, or I could have a thermostat that is stuck open or something.
Can't say I'm keen on pulling out the sensor to test it, I can barely get to it as is it.
