water pump disconnected 200

okay guys, I am replacing my pump. b230f. I cannot finish it in one attack. first attack -- removal and cleaning. second attack --- 5 days later, installl new pump with coolant. in the meantime, in between attacks I need to move the car from one side of the street to the other (guess where I live, NYC) hence I need to drive it for 2 mins to move it across. no pump, no coolant. no pump belt hence no alternator too.

is this safe? and another 2 mins a day later to return the car to the original place. and then in a few days, 2nd attack occurs.

do I need to put gasket glue, vaseline what ever you call it from strauss auto when changing pumps?

foster you there? help on this.

thanks, andrew acasino@verizon.net
