spark plug/battery update 200 1983

Hi all,

i posted earlier today & yesterday re: my no-start and 'running like crap' problems....

good news is that i got the car running again - the battery was OK, but wasn't well-connected at the clamp, so I tightened down the 2 bolts on the plate and cleaned all the connectors, and the battery was ok.... i had it connected fine at the battery, but i guess the clamp part got loosened during removal & refitting.

other good news is that the firing order is now correct....cylinder #4 is still dead, but i have a good spark plug so i can see if it is the plug or something else.....

car is still running like crap, hesitating and shimmying, but i'm getting closer to a solution.

it feels like it may be starved for fuel, but i'm gonna deal with the spark plugs and then work out the other issues.

thanks to all who contributed great ideas to my questions, and helped me figure out firing order.... now all the plugs are in the correct location on the distributor. (background info - the plugs have been incorrectly placed for years, since before i owned the car even! since they were always wrong, i never realized it until i had to do the plug work yesterday) glad to have it correctly ordered though...

thanks again for the help,

susan.
