Faux wood door panel 900 1995

Hey all! Upon closing the rear passenger door on my 960, the wood trim broke in two. First half fell on the floor, second half stayed attached. I don't want to purchase a complete set to replace just one panel, so what's the best way to re-attach the part that broke off? FYI, there are two sets of holes in the door panel for the part that broke off. There are remnants of something in the holes (probably the attach/mount plasticware for the piece). Thanks for your advice.

1995 960, 114000 miles (4000 of them mine) -- was gonna sell it and get a Maxima, but the car has indeed seduced me! If you get one, don't say I didn't warn you.
