Windshield wiper size, real odd 700 1991

Hey board,
Long time no post :) or :(
Ok here is the situation and I would like to see if anyone else is in the same boat as myself. I have a 1991 744 non turbo. So I go to replace the wiper blades, go to Walmart and buy some winter Anco. The computer says get the 20 inch blades, so I do. However the 20 inchers are too big for my car, I mean really to big. Sure enough I measured the existing ones and they came in at 18 inches, and 18 is the right size. So...am I just insane or is my car special or are all the online stores and walmart computers not correct. I really don't think someone chopped my car down, but more or less I am wondering why mine would be 18 when everyone elses are 20? Thanks everyone, BTW I turned 200,000 the other day and was so happy :)
