Help! Dropped water pump washer into timing belt cavern 200

Is it OK to leave it down there or will I have to take the crank pulley off etc.? I tried putting a magnet on a flexible member and fish it out but no luck yet.
Also, There is a threaded hole in the front of the block between the bottom of the water pump and the top of the alternator bracket with the bushing and banana slot. What is that for? I don't remember seeing it when I took off the pump etc.
