I have an 84 intercooled turbo with cruise control. I'm not sure what your problem is. I believe the only difference with the factory intercooled motors is the cast elbow, but I'm not even sure that is different. I think it just may be rotated a little more than 90 degrees from the non intercooled. I have it sitting around here somewhere. I have converted the 84 to a b230 manifold, and 700 series intake for other reasons. I had the opposite problem. When I converted, the cruise control cable would not go on the B230 manifold because the throttle was oriented differently. The B230 has a longer cable and the vacuum unit is mounted on the passenger firewall. On a 240tic the unit is on the driver shocktower and has a really short cable. I tried to use it but the cable was just a little too short, and it had to make a really sharp bend. A b230 intake has a lot of advantages so I'm not sure why you would want to switch back anyway.
