88 765ti upgrade? to a 94 855ti 700

Hey Bricksters,

Today on a wim I passed a 94 855 turbo LOADED to the brim with 98,000 at a mom and pop type of car lot asking price $5500. So I took it on a test drive and WOW! This car is a LOT faster than my 88 765ti. I love my 765 but I think at the price its too much of a good deal! Only one problem the A/C doesnt work. I checked out the engine bay everything was clear the fluids look like they have recently been changed. I am debating going for it. I need some advice my 765 has brake problems and the A/C is fading, the heat works great tho. How reliable are the 850 turbos compared to the 700 turbo series? Going to read in the 800 forum now.. Please reply so I can figure out what I am doing!
