ECU info #2 - EPROMs 700 1989

I am curious to know how you diagnosed your ECU as "bad".

The part about the bad chip being on the fuel pump relay circuit and causing a no-start condition is especially interesting to me.

My '89 720 Turbo has run nicely for about 30 minutes, and then just stopped. I checked all the electrical connections, it has spark (I can get carb cleaner to burn after it is blown into the intake), but I don't hear the main fuel pump.

I have jumped the fuse positions and made the main and in-tank pumps run, but the main pump does not seem to run with the key.

A good fuel pump relay made no difference.

So, If you can help be discover if my condition is this EPROM chip, I'll send it to you, if it is bad.
