1993 960 Check Engine Lite 900 1993

Hello

We would like to read the codes and then reset the lite. I disconnected the battery cable for 30 seconds earlier but the lite did not reset.

Also is the kickdown cable on the 960 different from the 200 and 700 series.
I do not know if the cable on the 960 is broke or is different looking. The cable comes off the throttle drum and goes to an adjusting sleeve very similar to the200 and 700 series. However it ends there and actually does not connect to the vacuum diaphram in the immediate area. The diaphram has a hole where the cable could extend into the diaphram but the two are not connected. The car shifts normally. Help. Thanks
