buying a volvo 142s......newby advice needed 140-160 1968

I'm a vw guy, that traded the van for a bug, then the bug for a porsche....it broke not very supprised....but i've found a 68 volvo 142s, price is right, looks simple which is good,I'm probably why the porsche is broke, wondering on advice for before or after picking the car up...looks to be in better shape than my bug did when it went for 1200 in trade....and it priced at 375....so what should i be worried about?
