(Update) - turbo loss of power and mileage 900

Hope this helps someone: For several months, my 94 945T (101k) has been very sluggish. Low power, terrible acceleration, poor mileage. At the same time I was struggling to solve a low/high/shaky idle problem as well - which I ended up winning :) about a month ago. Still, no improvement in performance. I thought I had checked every hose, every connection, everything....back when the problem first started.

This past weekend, I was fooling around testing engine operating temp by feeling the radiator hoses on the running engine - when I discovered a spitting intercooler hose. Has a large gash in the bottom side - right where it connects to the hard pipe (that then connects to the turbo). Anyway, I duct taped it up until I can get a new hose ordered - and boy oh boy is my power back. Now I konw why I bought the turbo... :)

If you guys have a turbo that just isn’t running as strong as you would think, check all the hoses - especially on a running engine. Hope this helps.
