Don, I have to add a loud 'second' to your comment on the Yoko Avids. I love 'em in warm weather, but traction in November was frightenly bad. With 12 new snows needed this year, I couldn't afford to get new Gislaveds, but el cheapo Firestones from Tire Rack are working out just fine.
