Who has a 960 whose lifters do not tick? What kind of oil? 900 1995

Mine doesn't usually tick but one cold morning, it really clattered and then got quiet again. I'm running Mobil 1 10W-30. It's supposed to be normal, as long as it stops.

My V70 will clatter a little and then settle down.

You might want to run some AMSOIL engine cleaner through it before your next oil change. Read the directions, you let it idle for 15 mins and then change the oil. NO driving allowed.
