Turbo air intake hose 700 1989

I replaced my air intake hose with the aftermarket MTC hose (MTC no. 6018, replaces volvo no. 1336711) . In addition to being a bit more of a stretch to get the hose to fit, the nipple that the PCV hose attaches to is about 1 mm smaller in circumference and does not fit tightly as the old one.

I now have a slight leak under boost. I am focusing on the PCV hose since I know it is not tight as the original. I could put a clamp on the hose, but it is actually rigid and am not sure if clamping it is advisable. Has anyone else used the MTC hose and encountered this?
