How to put on snow chains 200 1987

I might be going canning this weekend in pittsburgh ("canning" = begging for money with cans to help kids with cancer. we raise over $3 million dollars this way every year! check it out at www.thon.org) It's supposed to snow like crazy, and if the psycho girl in charge doesn't cancel, I might need to drive through a massive blizzard. As long as i can remember, there have been a set of chains and tensioners in the back of the car. Only problem is, I have no idea how to put them on! I'm sure I could improvise something, but what's the real way to put them on?

Thanks
