First time tune-up, tips & questions 200 1989

I have a new set of spark plugs, cap, and rotor heading to me. I'm probably going to do the tune-up next weekend. I have a 6" extension and just bought a 13/16 spark plug socket. Next item on my list is a torque wrench.

This will be my first. Anyone have any basic pointers or hints? A friend sent me some of his instructions, and I have a Bentley manual.

The FAQ says not to use anti-seize compound, whilst the Bentley says lightly coat the plug's thread with oil. If I do coat the thread with some oil, should I ease off on the torque by 40%?

Thanks!
