I've got a lead on a 1980 242GT that is located in Florida. The car has only 92k miles on the OD, maintained by the dealership, full records, everything. Pictures that I have seen show a flawless interior, exterior has been repainted (no decals, original silver), no rust.

I'm interested in what you guys/gals think the long term "collectability" of the 242GT. I plan on keeping this car as a daily spring/summer/fall driver, and babying it for ever and ever. I live very close to where I work so the miles won't be racking up.

What kind of price would you expect to pay for such a car? Do cars like these appreciate over time?
